The Tate Gallery

Tate Gallery LiverpoolTate Liverpool at the Albert Dock complex, on Liverpool's World Heritage waterfront, houses the National Collection of Modern Art in the North of England, and the most visited gallery of modern and contemporary art outside London.

The Tate's art is by twentieth century artists, including art from the Tate collection and specially curated shows combining modern and contemporary art. The special exhibitions, housed on the gallery's fourth floor, bring together works from national and international collections, public and private, making a unique contribution to the north of England's artistic vitality, and complementing Merseyside's celebrated historic collections.

At Tate Liverpool you can re-visit a favourite modern classic, and discover something new in contemporary art. The gallery has seen its visitor numbers explode over the past few years, earning rave reviews most recently for its Turner Prize collection and Klimt and Picasso retrospectives.

Admission to the Tate Collection at Tate Liverpool is free. Admission prices for special exhibitions are published on the exhibition pages of the Tate Liverpool website www.tate.org.uk/liverpool.
