Bunbury Locks

OS grid ref:- SJ5759

Bunbury Locks is a working wharf with some "high-rise" staircase locks and canal horse stables. Situated on the Shropshire Union Canal, a mile to the north of the Cheshire village of Bunbury, with great views from the road bridge or the cobbled canal side, the locks are a popular attraction. Brightly coloured narrow boats can often be seen navigating through this difficult double feature.

Bunbury Locks

At the bottom of the locks is a small basin that was once used for boat maintenance.
